CoinEx, a global cryptocurrency platform, announced that it will be sponsoring the upcoming National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) Chess Championships, a national-level tournament.
In addition to sponsoring the event, CoinEx also shared its partnership with Anichess, a free-to-play online chess game that adds a unique strategic twist by incorporating spells.
CoinEx Sponsors NCFP Chess Championships
NCFP’s Chess Championships will feature top Filipino chess players who will compete for a chance to represent the country at the Asian Youth Chess Championships in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Though CoinEx did not disclose which part of the tournament they will support, which is set for March 13-16 at FPJ Arena in San Jose, Batangas, the crypto firm noted that its involvement in the NCFP Chess Championships reflects its commitment to education, sports, and technology.
Through this sponsorship, CoinEx noted that it promotes chess as a way to develop critical thinking, strategy, and discipline in young players.

Anichess Partnership
In a media release, CoinEx stated that partnership with Anichess also showcases how blockchain can enhance traditional games and create new opportunities for players and fans, including the 1,500-year-old board game, chess.
Developed by Animoca Brands in collaboration with Chess.com, Anichess will be showcased at the tournament, highlighting its innovative fusion of traditional chess and modern gaming.

Prior to this partnership, CoinEx has been active in the Philippines in various partnerships and initiatives.
In December, it can be remembered that CoinEx also sponsored another chess tournament as it celebrated its 7th anniversary at the University of Batangas, attracting 270 participants.
Recently, the firm participated in another university activity as an exhibitor at Pasigarbo 2025 at Holy Name University, engaging over 1,000 attendees with interactive games, crypto promotions, and prizes while also sponsoring the CoinEx Choice Award in the HNU Ambassador selection.
